DIY Valentine’s Day Ideas

I am totally in the mood for Valentine’s Day this year – with my youngest in Kindergarten, all three of my kids are in school for the first time, and I am hoping to help with parties and plans for the “love” holiday.  That means I’ve been searching for ideas, and I found a couple of cute DIY projects to pass on.  These both come from Crafting Chicks:

DIY – Paper Roses GIANT size

I found a fabulous tutorial on Green Wedding Shoes tonight… for stunning GIANT paper roses!  It’s hard to believe, but the photo below is of an actual giant paper rose, and the tutorial looked quite easy!

You can read the very detailed tutorial HERE.  These would be perfect for a VERY unique wedding bouquet, or even lovely centerpieces on reception tables.  They might even look fab hanging on a wall!  What do YOU think?  Any other ideas for GIANT roses?

Adorable DIY T-shirt Pom Poms

It’s been forever (like almost a year) since I blogged here, and I’ve been missing it… so I’m just going to jump back in like I never stopped.

Today I wanted to share a great tutorial from Craftaholics Anonymous – making T-shirt Pom Poms.  Such a great tutorial, easy to to, and you can do SO MANY things with these fun pom poms.

Check out the tutorial HERE.

Have you ever tried making poms?  I’d love to see your projects made with home-made pom poms – either of the t-shirt variety or yarn, or even paper!
